Afghanistan: On Monday Afghan Taliban released a video showing the wreckage of a crashed US drone in Gomal area of Paktika province of Afghanistan.

The video, produced by al-Emarah Jihadi Studio, was shared on official Taliban website and Telegram channels. It was not immediately clear what caused the UAV to crash but the Taliban didn’t explicitly claim that it was their work.

On Tuesday, local authorities in Paktika confirmed that there were US drone strikes in the area targeting Taliban militants. A local police commander said that at least 6 Taliban militants were killed in US drone strikes in Paktika.
