Afghanistan: According to initial reports on Tuesday, a suspected suicide bomb blast targeted the campaign ceremony of Afghan parliamentary candidate Nasir Mohmand in Kama district of Nangarhar province. Multiple casualties are feared. No group has yet claimed responsibility.

UPDATE: According to the provincial governor’s spokesperson, at least seven people have been killed and 25 others wounded in the attack.

UPDATE: According to ITCT sources, at least 12 people have been killed and over 32 wounded.

UPDATE: According to latest reports, the death toll has reached 18 with at least 43 injured.

UPDATE: Hours after the attack, Islamic State’s Amaq and Nashir propaganda outlets claimed the suicide bombing in Nangarhar, Afghanistan. IS claim said that the bombing was carried out by Luqman al-Khurasani and there were 90 dead and wounded in the attack.
