Pakistan: On Monday, Afghanistan-based Jihadi group Hizbul Ahrar claimed a gun attack targeting policemen in New Karachi area of Karachi city.

According to the statement of Hizb’s spokesperson Aziz Yousafzai, released by Al-Ahrar Media, said that a police officer was killed and three sub-inspectors injured in the attack. The attack took place in Sector 11-D of New Karachi.

This is the second attack in Karachi carried out by Hizbul Ahrar this month. Previously, Hizbul Ahrar terrorists killed a police sub-inspector near Gulshan Maymar area of Karachi on 3rd October.

The slain police officer has been identified as 42 year old Constable Syed Ahmed Abbas Rizvi, belonging to the Shi’ite Muslim community. ITCT has obtained image of the slain police officer.
