Yemen: On Sunday Houthi militants in Yemen claimed a twin attack targeting Saudi Arabia and UAE.
In a statement Houthi spokesperson said that they killed several Saudi guards and destroyed multiple war ships in a naval attack targeting Jizan port. In another report on Sunday, the Houthis said they had carried out drone strikes on Dubai International Airport in the United Arab Emirates. There were no immediate reports of damage or casualties.
There was no confirmation of the attack from Saudi or UAE government. However, UAE’s General Civil Aviation Authority denied media claims made by Houthis regarding Dubai International Airport.
Houthi militants have fired more than 200 missiles at Saudi Arabia since it intervened in Yemen in March 2015 when President Abedrabbo Mansour Hadi fled into exile.
UPDATE:
Hours after Houthi claim, Al-Arabiya reported that Arab Coalition targeted and destroyed two Houthi speedboats that attempted to attack Jizan port in Saudi Arabia.
