Iran: On Friday, Iranian border guards said that they have killed four militants, including a leader of Sunni militant group Jaish al-Adl (Army of Justice), in a gun battle in Saravan, Sistan and Baluchistan province. Two other militants were also injured in the battle but managed to escape along with their other accomplices. Iranian border guards say the militants had infiltrated Iranian border from Pakistan’s Balochistan province.

Mullah Hashim Zikri, the deputy commander of Jaish al-Adl, was killed in the gunfight.
