On Friday Al-Qaeda affiliated Jama’at Nasr al-Islam wal Muslimin (JNIM) announced new forthcoming video showing its fighters in Mali. The trailer of the forthcoming video was released by Az-Zallaqa Media.

UPDATE:

On Sunday Al-Qaeda affiliate JNIM released the much anticipated new video titled “The battle continues” featuring many Al-Qaeda ideologues and commentary against Western nations.

Video cover

ITCT Associate Jasmine Opperman says,  “The video contains footage of the 14th April 2018 attack against the MINUSMA base at Timbuktu. A twin SVBIED bombing was also executed during the attack. On 20 April 2018, JNIM claimed credit for the attack adding that it was a revenge attack for the killing of Saïd al-Ma, Qoutaiba al-Ansari and Abu Abdullah Ahmad al-Shankiti. They were killed respectively at the end of March and early April 2018. As in previous video releases the message to France is that the Jihad will continue.”
