India-administered Kashmir: A commander of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), identified as Mohammad Asif Malik, was killed by Indian forces in gunfight early morning in South Kashmir’s Islamabad district on Thursday.

Three to four other militants who participated in the gunfight alongside Mohammad Asif Malik escaped the site unharmed. However, an Indian soldier was killed in the gunfight.

Funeral of the slain LeT Commander was held in Door area in South Kashmir’s Islamabad. The funeral was attended by militant colleagues of Mohammad Asif, who also offered a gun salute, according to some reports.
