Pakistan: Counter-terrorism Department (CTD) officials said on Sunday they have arrested two members of Lashkar-e-Jhangvi from Sargodha.

According to CTD officials, raids in Joharabad Town and Satellite Town areas of Sargodha resulted in the arrest of Majeed Muavia and Sufyan. Both individuals have been identified as members of Lashkar-e-Jhangvi’s financial network in Pakistan by CTD officials. Both individuals are accused of sending hefty sums of money to finance Lashkar-e-Jhangvi’s activities.

Jihadi literature and transaction receipts were was also found on both individuals.

The matter is being further investigated by the authorities after a police case was registered.
