Pakistani: Security forces raided a hideout of Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) in an intelligence-based operation operations in different areas of Mohmand.

A huge quantity of weapons, ammunition, suicide jackets, explosives and extortion letters were seized from the hideout by security forces.

ITCT Deputy Director Faran Jeffery, while commenting on the reports of the latest IBO in Mohmand, said, “Pakistani forces are continuing their IBOs near Pak-Afghan border areas following rise in TTP attacks targeting security forces in these areas. TTP has main presence in Afghanistan but it still has operatives and informants in Pakistan, who are mostly concentrated near border areas because that makes it easy for them to move. For Pakistan the fight against TTP is far from over.”
