Pakistan: On Thursday the Gul Bahadar faction of Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) released a statement threatening attacks against schools in North Waziristan because of the dress code that is being followed in these schools.

According to the statement, the TTP faction declares inclusion of shorts for school children ‘un-Islamic’. The statement also warns locals to stop following the dress code and threatens the government for introducing the dress code.

Recently Pakistan has seen a rise in terrorist attacks targeting schools.
