Pakistan: According to a statement released by Umar Media on Sunday, Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) launched an attack on three Pakistani camps along Pak-Afghan border in Bajaur Agency.

According to TTP statement, the attack was launched when survey teams of Pakistan Army arrived on the location to inspect the border fence. TTP says its intelligence group called TIA (Taliban Intelligence Agency) gave prior intelligence to TTP fighters that Pakistan Army’s survey teams will be arriving in the area.

TTP says it attacked three camps: Chamarkand Sar camp, Helicopter Airport Maidan camp and Marghkai Sar camp.

TTP statement says several Pakistani soldiers were killed and wounded in the clashes, which continued for two to three hours, and a TTP fighter was also injured in the exchange of fire.

There has been no confirmation of the attack yet from the Pakistani military.
