Afghanistan: At least 8 Afghan Army (ANA) soldiers have died and 12 other were wounded when US forces mistakenly bombed ANA positions in Kapisa province on Sunday.

In separate reports, at least two dozen civilians have been reportedly killed in ANA and US operations in Kapisa and Wardak provinces in last few days.

The UN mission in Afghanistan says it is concerned about the rising number of civilian casualties.
