Abdi Yusuf is an international affairs researcher and a freelance writer based in Nairobi, Kenya.

Born and raised in Somalia, he lived in Israel for over ten years and holds both a BA and MA in Government from IDC Herzliya, with a specialization in Counterterrorism and Conflict Resolution.  He has volunteered at the International Institute for Counter-Terrorism, contributed articles to Africanexus, Foreign policy, and co-authored “How Do Terrorist Organizations Make Money? Terrorist Funding and Innovation in the Case of al-Shabaab.”
